NY SAVE is currently NOT funding any new cases, as we prepare to launch a new Hospital Partnership Program by September 2018. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but the new program will ensure that NY SAVE will better serve the needs of pets residing in the five boroughs of New York City. We will continue to accept donations that will help make the new program ultimately successful.
We strive to make this process as quick and easy as possible for both the owner of the animal experiencing the emergency and the veterinarian who will be performing necessary procedures and providing care. We have outlined a diagram to help participants in NY SAVE's funding program better understand how the program works, Click below to see this diagram.
In order to qualify for our program, pet owners need to provide identification and some form of documentation indicating that they are currently unemployed, on public assistance, disabled or living at or below the poverty level. Pet owners who are able to pay a portion of the veterinary care will be asked to do so on a sliding-scale basis. Veterinarians participating in the program will reduce their fees in order to care for animals accepted for treatment under NY SAVE. The pets treated through NY SAVE will receive the same level of care as any other veterinary patients. Click below to access our application.
